This room has one Queen sized bed. Spacious guest rooms with designer art deco furnishings, luxury linens, and comfortable pillow-top mattress. Marble bathroom with upgraded eco-friendly amenities. The room includes: complimentary high-speed Internet access, cable TV with a flat screen, clock radio, in-room safe, hair dryer, and iron with ironing board. This is a non-smoking room.

There are no rollaway beds.

Everything is within walking distance. It's in the heart of The Art Deco District, a block over from the beach, a CVS, restaurants and blocks away (walking or quick Uber) to other areas of South Beach. I prefer quieter spaces and you can still find some within the hustle and bustle of S. Beach. I enjoyed reading on the rooftop, watching the world go by.

I loved that we were close to the beach and to the ocean drive! We get an amazing room ! We had free coffee in the room at the espresso machine, but also free breakfast at the restaurant “bacon bitch”( coffee and a croissant with butter and fruit jam. We loved our stay at Essex house ! Thank you!

The staff was excellent- Everyone at the front desk including Beau, Deshawnte, Jamel- were ALL AWESOME!!! They were courteous, welcoming, informative and always available for questions. Dan was helpful as well whenever we had a request.

Our view of Collins Ave from our King room was absolutely stunning! It was quite big at 300sqft. The location could not be beat either. I highly recommend this hotel for younger crowds, NOT families.

It’s a very old hotel historic, it was very clean the staff was super friendly and kind. I was super close to all my activities and I had access to the Clevelander I would definitely stay here again
